FreeTube Portable - là một trình phát YouTube dành cho máy tính để bàn mã nguồn mở được xây dựng chú trọng đến quyền riêng tư. Sử dụng YouTube không có quảng cáo và không để Google theo dõi cookie và JavaScript của bạn. FreeTube sử dụng API HTTP gốc của YouTube với một tập hợp các khóa API được mã hóa cứng.
Video được giải quyết bằng youtube-dl và được phát bằng trình phát video HTML5 tiêu chuẩn. Mặc dù YouTube vẫn có thể thấy các yêu cầu API và video của bạn, nhưng YouTube không thể theo dõi bạn bằng cookie hoặc JavaScript nữa. Đăng ký, lịch sử và video đã lưu của bạn được lưu trữ cục bộ trên máy tính của bạn và không bao giờ được gửi đi.
